Faith@Work Fellowship
Reaching Nationals for Nationals
(Community Net-working)

Dear Friend,
I. VISION – JESUS, HIS INCARNATIONAL MINISTRY, OUR PATTERN (Matt. 9:35-38)
And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Then saith He unto His disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that He will send forth labourers into His harvest.

1. He moved among people.
2. He felt deeply for people – compassion.
3. He challenged His disciples.
4. He called them to pray.
5. He promised greater works (John 14:12).

III. SOME HIGHLIGHTS

1. Training as usual in Medan, Indonesia, June, Sept. and November (16-20).
2. Great Anniversary celebration on 16 May with 19 tables of friends. Good gifts for Nepal and Myanmar. All glory to God.
3. Market place Discipleship was done in May and July. Forays into seminaries were made to assess the needs of young adults. Much prayer is needed to hear the whispers of God concerning His will and provision. Our vision is to equip and mentor young adults in Yangon in life and work skills.
4. Nepal training was done in March but we had to postpone the September training because of the difficult political situation. Please continue to pray for Nepal.
5. Pastors’ Workshop will be held in Mandalay, Myanmar, Nov. 11 to 15. This will be a time of reflection and evaluation of the ministries of the Fellowship of Churches. Let us also pray for the political situation in Myanmar, especially for the general election on November 8.
6. We are releasing the religious training arm to Asia Seminary for Ministry Ltd so that it can be an institution for seminary training, though there will be a symbiotic relationship. We are praying to have a Management Team comprising of pastors and church leaders. A training team will also be formed to co-ordinate the training. Please pray for these.
