Dear Friend,
God blessed Christmas season and a glorious great year 2017, we pray for you and all yours.
I. GOD’S CHRISTMAS GIFT
THE TAG: (Luke 2:11) For unto you is born this day in the city of David the Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
THE WRAPPING: (Luke 2:12) And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
THE TRIMMINGS: (Luke 2:13,14) And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
THE CONTENTS: (Matthew 1:23) Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

This Gift is for ALL people … for me … for you … for us…
(i) When we feel like a failure (a) not being what we should be, (b) blaming on people and situations, (c) hoping to better our self. HE is our Self-worth & Significance.
(ii) When we are in clutches of the devil, sin and addictions, bankrupt of moral virtue, joy or hope. HE is our Strength, Sustenance and Success.
(iii) When our religion, self-righteousness, sacrifices fail. HE is our Salvation, Security and Satisfaction.
(iv) In Christ Jesus, I am a new Creation in Him, of infinite worth, deeply loved, completely forgiven, fully pleasing, totally accepted, absolutely complete in Him, one of a kind, nobody just like me … a designer original, fulfilling that which is for His glory and for my life. Therefore, you can be too!
(v) To you … because God’s heart is set upon you – He is not willing that any should perish … not willing that you should perish – Jesus’ coming is the best plea for you coming to Him now. HE is given to us. Receive His Gift – Jesus Himself! Simply say, Lord, I know I need you to be my Saviour. Please save me from the penalty, power and presence of sin. Jesus promises, “… him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.” (John 6:37). When you call on His Name, God promises you will be saved. (Romans 10:13) “For whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved.”

II. REWARDS ALIKE

We praise the good Lord for the many of you that have been praying and helping in so many ways. God knows your heart and labour of love. The teaching of God’s Word is very clear that we will get the same reward. David shared the rewards of victory with his people: (1 Samuel 30:24) “ but as his part is that goes down to the battle, so shall his part be that tarries by the stuff: they shall part alike.” The ones that stayed at home to take care of the homes received the same as those that went into battle.

The Apostle Paul reiterated: “Now he that plants and he that waters are one: and everyone shall receive his own reward according to his own labour, for we are labourers together with God” (1 Cor. 3:8, 9). We are one in unity and purpose and therefore one in the rewards. Paul summarised: “For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love which you have shown toward His Name, in that you have ministered to the saints and do minister” (Heb. 6:10).

Thanks again so very much for being co-labourers with God and with us. Emmanuel had come with us and for us. Now Emmanuel is still with us, in us and for us. Emmanuel is coming again and quickly and He is bringing His rewards with Him. “Behold, I come quickly and My reward is with Me, to give every man according as his work shall be” (Rev. 22:12).

III. MISSION OF FAITH AT WORK FELLOWSHIP

Once again, it is good to be reminded of the Mission:

A. PURPOSE – Reaching Nationals for Nationals
1. Community Network for education and community projects
2. Acting as catalyst, facilitator and conduit
B. PEOPLE – Connecting community with communities
1. Fellowship community with praying, teaching and giving partners.
2. Reaching National communities to and for Nationals.
C. PROCESS – Jesus, our Pattern
1. Educational – preaching and teaching
2. Community projects – Holistic caring

IV. QUICK REVIEW 2016

1. Training was done in Medan, Indonesia, four times. Next graduation will be held mid year, 2017.
2. Market place Discipleship was done in September in Yangon, Myanmar. We had about 70 in attendance. God enabled us to establish good relationships. Much prayer is still needed to hear the whispers of God concerning His will and provision. Our vision is to equip and mentor young adults in Myanmar in life and work skills. Two immediate needs will be the English language training and the Computer skills. We await for His will and timing.
3. Nepal training was done in March and we had a graduation of 32. Praise the good Lord for enabling us through these years. We are praying that the good Lord will use these graduates greatly among their own. (Photo of graduation enclosed) Please continue to pray for Nepal. We will resume training in September 2017 after we have prayed and taken a long look at the program.
4. Pastors’ Workshop was held in Mandalay, Myanmar, Nov. 3-6. Some 108 were in attendance. The training was on the Formation of Attitude. There were also great times of reflection and evaluation of the ministries of the Fellowship of some 30 over Churches. The national pastors took the lead in workshops. God be praised in raising National leaders. Our ministry with Rev. James Biak Lian and his great people spans some 30 years. Praise the good Lord for their love and faithfulness to the Lord and for the unity and sacrifice for their own people. (Photo of Workshop enclosed)
5. We are still in transition concerning Asia Seminary for Ministry. Our directors include John Ching, Tan Thiam Hong, Ong Beng Hong and Rev. Yap Beng Shin. We are praying and working on the framework of the ministry. In the following, we have the brief summary.

V. ASIA SEMINARY FOR MINISTRY
(Seminary Without Borders)

I. PURPOSE:

A. MISSION: Training Nationals to Nationals (2 Tim. 2:2) for integrity and skills (Ps. 78:72).

B. OBJECTIVES:
1.. To provide theological training, rightly dividing the Word of Truth (2 Tim. 2:15)
2. To equip with skills for the work of the Christian ministry (Eph. 4:12)
3. To facilitate personal and ministry development by mentorship.(2 Tim. 2:2).

II. PEOPLE:

A. Training National pastors and leaders in seminars and modular classes.
B. Trainers with integrity and skills.

III. PROGRAMS

A. Offering Certificate, Diploma, Bachelor and Master degrees
B. Courses include Bible Studies (OT and NT), Systematic Theology, Practical Theology, Christian Education and Christian Ministry.
C. Program will be tailored to the people and places of training
D. Trainers can be adjunct teachers to existing Bible colleges and Seminaries

VI. MINISTRIES BY FAITH

Both FaithatWork and ASM are faith-based ministries. We look to God and to God’s people to supply our needs. Each trainer will try to raise his/her own support for the period of training. We also provide food and lodging for certain groups. Each year, we will have a different budget. Please let us know if you need this information. If you need us to share the Vision of this ministry to your small group, fellowship group, camp or church, please let us know.

Once again, we praise the good Lord for the privilege and joy of serving Him together in reaching influencial National leaders. We believe that these leaders are the keys to minister to their own. Also in training leaders, we are following our Lord Jesus’ example in the training of the Twelve. In such training, we are multiplying His ministry as these leaders will lead others.
Praise the good Lord for supplying all our needs in 2016 through your fervent prayers and your sacrificial services and gifts. We are looking forward for greater and better ministries for our quick-coming Saviour and Lord.
