Training Nationals for Nationals

Hi friend,

Training Nationals for Nationals in integrity and skills (Psalm 78:72)

Praise the good Lord for some special times in Indonesia and Nepal.

1.      MEDAN, INDONESIA.

A.    Training (16-20 Sept) was done by Rev. Dr. Yap Kim Sin and Mr. Ding Yew Soong.  This will conclude training for some for the Master of Ministry program.

B.    Graduation of 30 on Sat. 21 Sept.  We had the privilege and joy of graduating 49 two years ago. Now we are adding 30 to the list. The graduates are scattered throughout 290 million Indonesians.  We are in Medan four times a year and thus the students can complete the MMin degree in two years.

C.    We had a good praying and planning time with Rev. Hapason Siregar who is our point-man in Medan. The Bible and College, “Sekolah Tinggi Teologi Injili Betania” is registered with the government and we are praying and planning with him to work on faculty, curriculum and resources.  The college can award degrees in theology and education.

D.   He is at present building the third storey to the education centre to cater for the college students.  Please pray for and with us as we train in Indonesia.

2.     Training in Kathmandu, Nepal.

A.    Mr Ding Yew Soong and I with Benjamin Tsao as co-teacher trained some 55 pastors and leaders. We are mentoring Ben for missions ahead.

B.    Our point-man, Dil Tamang will be starting regular annual training for some invited leaders for certificate and diploma courses.

C.    The Lord willing, we will be graduating some 30 students the next September, 2014.  We graduated 23 the last time.

D.   Please pray for Nepal as it goes through political changes.

3.     Some quick dates ahead for prayer:

A.    Training in Mandalay, Myanmar, 30 October to 7 November. A team from Singapore will conduct Pastors’ Workshop.  Some pastors are working towards a Master degree.  Pray also for our point-man, Rev. James Biak Lian as he works on his dissertation for the Doctor of Ministry degree.  As he is equipped, we believe that the good Lord will use him to train his own people.

B.    Training in Medan, Indonesia, 18-22 November. Rev. Yap Beng Shin and Rev. Mark Tay will be the trainers.  Let us pray for a fresh batch of pastors and leaders to be trained.

C.    Myitkyina, Myanmar – Spiritual Conference, 21-27 Jan. 2014

We are praying for a good team to minister to the Fellowship of some 30 churches.  The host church will be having its 25th Anniversary celebration.  The emphasis will be on evangelism and revival.  We are praying for souls to be saved and saints to be revived.

4.     STOP PRESS!  In Singapore, Healthy Church Seminar, Sat. Nov. 9th, (9am to 5pm), at Shalom BP Church, 4 Loyang Besar Close, Singapore 509025 (Tel. 65810311).

The church is not just an organization.  It is a living organism.  Any healthy organism will grow.  The church will grow when it is healthy.  It is not perfect, but as long as it is healthy, it will grow.

We will do a case study of a Purpose-Driven church.  While we realize that one size does not fit all, we desire to learn from a church model and to begin our conversation to position our own church in His vision and purpose.

Please pray and plan to participate.  Do let us know so that we can pray and plan for you.

Thanks again for your prayers and support in so many ways. Please visit FaithatWorks Facebook or our blog, for further news at http://faithatworksfellowship.blogspot.com/.  Now the new website is:https://faithatworkfellowship.org.

If we can be of any help to you, please let us know. The good Lord bless you and all yours!

Yours always in Christ and for Christ,

Rev. Goh Seng Fong
