God’s Vision for Asia Seminary for Ministry (ASM), the training Arm of Faith at Work Fellowship

A. Mission:
To train Nationals leaders to Nationals for integrity and skills (Psalm 78:72), unto the praise of His Glory (Eph. 1:14).
When we train followers, there will be additions; but when we train leaders, there will be multiplications.

B. Objectives:
1. To provide theological training, rightly dividing the Word of Truth (2 Tim. 2:15).
2. To equip with skills for the work of the ministry (Eph.4:12).
3. To facilitate personal and ministry development by
mentorship (2 Tim. 2:2).

C. Philosophy:
1. ASM is a seminary without borders. A team of trainers will go to a place where God leads and will leave it when the ministry is completed.
2. It primarily caters to pastors and leaders that are in the harvest field and could not afford to spend full time in study.
3. The training consists of 2 modular sessions (four credit hours) in a week of stay-in studies. Usually there are two such training per year. Expenses for the stay-in are provided.
4. Trainers are mature Bible believing practitioners in their field of giftedness.
5. Degree Certificates are awarded: MMin. (32 credit hours); MRE (64 credit hours).

D. Requirements:
1. Participants must have at least a Bachelor degree of any discipline and five years of ministry experiences.
2. Those that do not have a Bachelor degree but have a good ministry record will be assessed individually.
3. Class attendance (at least 80%), participation, quizzes and assignments will form the bulk of the assessment system.

E. Partnerships needed:
1. Prayer Partners. Please pray for God’s Trainers, participants places of training and finances.
2. Training Partners. Please pray for gifted trainers that will invest a week annually in their busy schedule to train Nationals.
3. Resource Partners. We do need books, resource material and programs to constantly upgrade our Trainers and to train leaders.
4. Financial Partners. Our trainers go by faith, trusting God to provide. We are also responsible for the expenses of the week’s board and lodging of training. Please pray that God will supply our needs. You can invest through monthly giving or occasional gifts as the Lord of harvest will lead you.

F. Quick Checks:
1. These last ten years, the good Lord has privileged us to train in Medan of Indonesia (four times annually), Yangon and Mandalay of Myanmar (once annually) and Kathmandu of Nepal (three times annually).
2. The good Lord willing in 2020, we will enter into NE India to train pastors and leaders from Sikkim, West Bengal and Bhutan in April 20-24 and October 12-16 2020.
3. We will be making a foray into Pontianak of Indonesia to assess God’s will for us. Please continue to pray for and with us as we train National leaders for Nationals for His Glory and the Gospel ministry.
4. 2020 and this precious and gracious decade will see the good Lord doing greater and better things in and through us for His glory and for His Gospel ministry (Jeremiah 32:27; 33:3) - the best is yet to be till Jesus comes. Maranatha.
