Hi friend,
Training Nationals for Nationals
in integrity and skills (Ps 78:72)
(Ps 126:3)  The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.
We praise the good Lord for the privilege and joy of training Nationals for Nationals and beyond.  Besides helping out as adjunct trainers in countries like Tanzania, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar and Indonesia, there is the Master of Ministry program in Nepal and in Indonesia (Medan).  God is using us in equipping pastors and leaders who are still in the ministry.  They take off for five days in a week of solid 40 hour training.  Take-home assignments are also given.  We train two times in Nepal and four times in Medan, Indonesia, annually.

Here is a blessed testimony of a young Nepalese man, Jomesh Tamang, that was trained in the Master of Ministry program.  He graduated last year with 22 of his colleagues.  He is now the Director of Global Youth Ministry Network, Nepal.
“Here is the story of how M.Min. program has been a great blessing in my life.
I finished my Bachelor study in theology in the year 2004 and since then, I am in full time teaching ministry where most of the time I am giving more than receiving.  I always wanted to do further studies where I could receive more to give more but as the ministry was growing, I could not do that.  So the first thing I am so thankful to Rev. Goh and all ASM team is for equipping me further while I was still in the ministry because I didn't have to leave the ministry to be trained. Thank you!
Secondly, since I am in training Christian youth leaders, all the subjects of M. Min. have been great resources for to train youth leaders. The simple explanations, so practical, touching illustrations and yet Asian modelled ministry principles that I have learned in M. Min. Classes have been useful in my training youth leaders in Nepal and the very first time recently I had a chance to train youth leaders in BANGLADESH.  The M. Min. program has not only taught me how to do the ministry but has always reminded me why I do what I do.   In other words it has not only skilled my ministry skills but skilled my soul to find God in daily basis.
Only in less than 2 years, we have trained over 800 youth leaders in Nepal and I know and let you know that you have been hugely a part of this God's move by training, equipping and encouraging me further to do what I am doing with the LORD.
Thank you so much for all who are sowing/ investing in this ministry (ASM).  I would like to tell you that this is only one (my story) among many. I am for sure that the leaders ASM trained in Nepal are making huge impact for the Kingdom as they all lead ministries and pastor churches.”

MEDAN, INDONESIA:  We are in Medan, four times annually.Four trainers and helpers will be there, 10th to 14th September, with some 60+ pastors and leaders, training in the Epistle of Paul to the Colossians and in the Old Testament book of Haggai.  For the book of Haggai, there will be mind-mapping as well as the textual study. These will be our 25th and 26th sessions. Our last training sessions for the year will be 19-23 November.
A Bible Institute under Rev. Haposan began its training.  Our prayer and goal have always been to train leaders so that they can train others.
KATHMANDU, NEPAL:  Three of us will visit Kathmandu, 21st to 28th September.  We will be at sessions 23rd and 24th, on Principles of Communication in the church and Essence of Care Ministry.  These are skills training for ourselves and for helping others.  There would be some 70 students for the week.  As some will have to come from far places (some on 10-hour bus journey), we will have to provide food and lodging.  We are budgeting Sing$100 per person for the five days.  That will mean that we are trusting the good Lord for at least Sing$7000. Please pray for and with us for God’s supply.
