John Ching and I arrived at Kathmandu on Friday, September 12, 2014. This is my second trip this year. Dr Goh Seng Fong was under the weather and I had to take over his place. On Saturday, we were arranged to preach separately at two churches. I went to Pas. Saroj’s church. Saroj was the principal of Himalayan Bible Study Academy in East Nepal. He had to come back to care of his sister who suffers from a hole in her heart with kidneys malfunctioning and her breasts removed. His aging mother is not able to take of his sister and the burden falls on the shoulder of Saroj who survives on a meagre salary.

First and foremost, I am glad to inform you that we had exciting times with 65 participants this time and the lecturers Rev. Yap Beng Shin and Rev. Simon Nagarajan have done a wonderful job once again and every one appreciates the hard work they have put in and may the Lord bless them. Let me express our gratitude to you for your fervent love to us and contribution in building us up in leadership. Thank you also for your patience in hearing from me.
Medan, Indonesia Mission Report Feb 2014
There were about 40 participants that came for the 2 and a half days module on the book of Revelation. About 3 quarters of the students are pursuing their Bachelor of Theology, and the rest Master of Ministry. Quite a number of them are sons and daughters of those who were once taught by us under Asia Seminary for Ministry (under Faith @work Fellowship. https://faithatworkfellowship.org/). It is a great privilege to teach the church leaders and their sons and daughters.

1. Spiritual Conference in Northeast Myanmar. ( 22-26 Jan 2014 )
We praise God for some great times with Rev. James Biak Lian and fellowship of 30 Churches at their 33rd Spiritual Conference cum 25th Anniversary of one of the Churches. There were some 500 people inside and outside the church building. Precious decisions were made for the Lord in Salvation and Dedication. The people celebrated together in lunch and dinner. On one occasion, 6 pigs were slaughtered for food. Praise God for all of you who have been praying.

We closed the year with some special times in Myanmar and Medan, Indonesia.
1. Training in Mandalay, Myanmar, 30 October to 7 November. A team from Singapore conducted Pastors’ Workshop, especially in leadership. Some pastors are working towards a Master degree. Plans are being made for the training to be done in May as well as in November, 2014. Please pray also for our point-man, Rev. James Biak Lian as he works on his dissertation for the Doctor of Ministry degree. His project will be on Church-planting in Northern Myanmar. As he is better equipped, we believe that the good Lord will use him to train his own people.

Betania seminary conducts a special 1 week intensive seminar for its students (Masters and Bachelors) 4 times in a year.

I could not go to all the churches to collect the reports, but could visit some of them, the bigger ones mainly and have taken some pictures.
